DeafKidz International Appoints Two New Trustees

DeafKidz International is proud to announce the appointment of two new trustees, whose diverse expertise and passion promise to enhance the charity’s vital work in supporting deaf children around the world.

Michelle Jeuken is a communications, marketing, fundraising, and engagement professional with a deep commitment to social justice and human rights. She has led high-impact teams across international NGOs, including Red Cross, Save the Children, WeProtect Global Alliance and UNHCR, as well as government portfolios spanning police oversight, health, disability, and child protection.

Gary Anderson is first and foremost a husband, dad and grandad. He enjoys a portfolio career as a Non-Executive Chairman with Companies in diverse sectors. He has suffered from hearing problems since the age of 4, a situation that was much improved recently through a (second) mastoidectomy and the fitting of a bone conduction sound processor. Gary describes improved hearing after a lifetime of struggle as a ‘game changer’. He is looking forward to supporting colleagues at Deafkidz as they deliver their impactful work across the world.

The appointment of our new trustees signals an exciting new phase for DeafKidz International, as we continue to grow our impact and reach. Bringing a wealth of experience and deep commitment to our mission, they will play a vital role in helping us ensure that deaf children around the world are protected, empowered, and able to flourish.
