Discover how we make our world safer for deaf children and young people.
We have two main programmes: DeafKidz Defenders, an EdTech play-based intervention that improves the safeguarding of deaf children; and DeafKidz Goal!, a sports-based approach that teaches deaf children and youth confidence, leadership, and key life skills. Both these programmes have the common themes of learning through play, building rights awareness, and holistically improving the life space of deaf kids. Find out more about each programme below.
We deliver our programmes all over the world. Our main regions of focus are currently Southern and Eastern Africa, plus India and Pakistan. As of 2022, we have moved most of our core leadership and staff roles from the UK to South Africa. This puts us closer to our main beneficiaries, their duty-bearers, and their communities.
